Fridays Crabhouse in Friday Harbor

You can't beat their friendly staff about to hand you you a kickin' bloody mary on their rooftop deck. You just can't.

If you like capers on and in many of the items go here. It would have been nice to know they used capers in so many things before we spent $150 on dinner.

The food was great but it felt super busy and chaotic. They pass food down from the bottom tier through a hole in the railing. When they were doing this some clam chowder spilled on my leg.

Staff were nice and responsive. Food was not very good. Two orders of fries, two fried shrimp, one shrimp taco, one fish taco....>$85. Number of meals finished =0 ( we were all hungry btw)

Grab a drink on the upper deck and watch the ferry traffic, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars for the bar, I'll have to go back to rate the restaurant.

One of the gentleman upstairs told us that they weren’t serving burgers anymore because it was almost time to close. My mother made a joke saying, “oh noooo you’re kidding!” The gentleman said’ “I JUSTTT said it right to your face lady, I’m not kidding...” His comment made me physically sick and it was hard to not make a comment back to him. It’s all good though.Unfortunately this was all we wanted. This is not a review on the food as I’m sure it is wonderful, but the service is terrible.It seems the owner is only commenting on five-star reviews and poor reviews in which she can respond with snarky comments. Disgusting.

This is our Favorite place to eat in Friday Habor. This is very close to the ferry and and the view on the top patio was great. I like to order the captain player at this place. A littor spendy but it worth it specially if you love seafood

I have mo idea why they call it Crabshack. The only crab they serve is Dungeness. Steamed and then chilled. Cold crab? No thanks. After you get up on the upper deck, you have to go back to the main deck to order. The bathrooms are in the basement . You have to take a key attached to a PVC pipe to unlock the doors. There is nowhere to the PVC pipe with the key, no hook to hang your purse. The upper deck has a nice view if you sit on a bar stool with a board for a table at the rail.

The best people with great food

Crab cakes were full of crab meat and tasted great. The salmon chowder was excellent.

Not super impressed here. The food shared all of its traits with that of a fast-food joint, overly deep-fried and greasy; and all that for a higher price than that of a regular fast food restaurant.While the price was higher than it should have been, the food was still well-made and tasty. The portions were a perfect size and the fish was very good. Maybe fix the layout, make it a little easier to understand, and focus on table service. Customer service was friendly and helpful, and the view made the experience nicer.

Amazing service great seafood! Sat with our fam on the rooftop bar and the bar tenders were too notch and totally in tune to everything going on around, my daughter spilled her good and burned her leg and they just helped without even being asked! Means so much and they were funny too!!!

Food was quite good, although the mussels weren't as fresh as the oysters and clams. Service is somewhat slow. Fried food somehow comes before the steamed stuff?Why I'm only giving Friday's a 3-star rating is because it's not very clean. Flies and bees buzz everywhere and the tables are rickety and sometimes dirty. A lot of this has to do with the fact that Friday's is an outdoor restaurant. To their credit, the staff are friendly, helpful, and will clean your table ASAP, but the overall atmosphere is still less pleasant than the food.Also, great view of the ferry terminal and the harbor :)

The food was good, not fantastic. Super busy, service was pretty much non existant. Paid $92 for food for six people, and had to chase down a waitress to get anyone to bring it after we waited way too long. My niece brought water for us after getting a pitcher from the bar, since nobody working there offered. This place was recommended but it was labor day weekend and that may have contributed to the problem.

Really fast service. Really friendly service. Clam chowder was nice & hot. Calamari was very crisp. Fish & chips very tasty.

Had drinks and apps. Really good. Looks.like is hoping place for locals as well as visitors. Staff was awesome, especially Donlad.

By far our worst experience on the island. Staff was friendly but not helpful. You are forced to place your own order at the bar and you must consider a tip before your dining experience. The restaurant had unclean dining areas and the smell from the trash cans kept me from dining outside. The food was VERY poor quality so much I couldn't finish my meal. My husband and I paid over $60 for two baskets of nasty food. Very disappointed! For that amount of money, I should receive a nice dining experience, be waited on at my table, and receive delicious food. If you want a bar experience and bar food, this is the place for you.

Ok food if you’re by the wharf after a kayak tour. Frozen seafood though, a little overpriced

I love this place and go every time I'm in Friday Harbor, which is about 10 times a year. The fish and chips are great with the caper garlic sauce. The view is amazing. Best place is way up top. Watch the ferry come in and all of the boats and people. You have to go to the counter to order, don't try to just sit down.

Fish tacos, cold beer and a view of the harbor. What else could you ask for?

Not impressed with staff or food. We ate upstairs on the top level with our children and friends. The women taking orders at the bar was VERY unfriendly. So much that I heard two other people saying the same thing. I asked for a lemon and the guy at the bar picked up a cut up one with his hands wearing no gloves and tossed it in my cup. I then asked if I could please get a lemon that wasnt touched as I was planning on squeezing it into my ice tea. Most places would use tongs to be sanitary. The food was just okay $69 for 4 orders and the fish was small and cooked in panko not beer battered. To many other options to eat here, not worth bad service, unsanitary practices, and mediocre food. I wont be returning.

The Wild Pacific Red Snapper was amazing!! I told the dude upstairs that I’m not the biggest fan of fish, but I like Mahi-mahi and halibut, and he told me that those are white meat fish and that I should try the Red Snapper causes it a white meat fish and I loved it!!! The customer service was a 10/10 food 10/10

Housemade crabcakes served with fries and coleslaw. Food and service were good.

I was expecting delicious food visiting this restaurant, I had the captain platter! Not only was it overpriced but it made me sick.it felt I was eating a frozen meal that they deep fried !chewy and gross.will never be back .very dissatisfied.

Some of the Worst Food I Have Tasted - Let the Buyer BewareThe only way I can describe this restaurant.From the outside it is physically appealing, but once the food arrives you realize that you made an expensive mistake.What arrives was frozen food thrown into a deep fryer. An appetizer of calamari was terrible. Next time, I must check if it is sold in Costco.The same with what called a Mixed Seafood Appetizer.Without going through each dish - we were five people - permit me to say that I would avoid this establishment at all cost.

Very much a tourist trap. Dont get sucked in by the outdoor seating and views. That is ALL they have going for them. Bad service. Bad food. Inflated prices.

RUDE service. My son and I received our food and finished it before my husband had to go in search of his. Staff didn’t care they were rude and said “do you want your food or money back”. Don’t let the fun pictures fool you. It is not a happy place. Food is average. Staff sucks. Do not recommend

So much fun at the rooftop bar! Good food and drink and an easy atmosphere. Beautiful view and a perfect location!

Nice beer and fried seafood. We just wanted to spend time on a nice summer afternoon and it’s a perfect place and love the view on a bright sunny sunny day.

We enjoyed eating here on our visit! My fiancé especially LOVED his fish and chips. We all had the same thing and it was very good. Food was delicious, drinks were good, and service was efficient. Mask use was required and social distancing measures were used, which I appreciated during the pandemic.

The place was absolutely disgusting and the staff was terrible. I ended up eating the seafood platter, getting a very severe case of food-borne illness, only to end up in the hospital for three nights! Don’t not be tempted to go into this place unless you want to end up where I was. If possible I would give zero stars!

One extra star just for the rooftop seating and views - the food is great if you are looking for fried bar food and a cold beer. Don't expect top notch cuisine or cocktails, just a great chill out.

Typically love this place, but had an issue over the weekend while visiting Friday Harbor (June 27 - post-COVID reopening). We went to the upper deck to grab a beer, and neither of the bartenders were wearing face masks or any sort of protective covering (the rest of the staff was thankfully). It was a really disappointing show of lack of health and safety concerns in the middle of a pretty awful pandemic.

Good casual place for seafood. Lots of fried options but also grilled and steamed shellfish. Outside deck is relaxing to watch over the harbor. Full bar.

Great outdoor seating. Fish n chips were just ok & fish tacos were excellent! Don a server at the very top is also excellent. Well worth a visit here.

Staff is very rude and not accommodating. Wanted to get my baby grilled chicken, cashier would not help me figure out how she could ring it in. BEWARE this place has three kitchens, your food will not come all out at once. Not worth the price. Messed up a part of the order, my party’s food came out in three different waves. Had an issue with the fries coming out for my baby, but it was the last thing so she was super fussy and I couldn’t enjoy my food. Spoke to the manager, very insincere apology. Nothing was resolved.
